Education:
Bilal Dewansyah, S.H., M.H. is a permanent lecturer with a concentration in Constitutional Law. In addition to general constitutional law, since 2007, he has been studying Citizenship & Immigration Law and its relationship to human rights law, including refugee and diaspora issues from a socio-legal and comparative legal perspective.
Since February 2020, he has been pursuing a PhD at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society, Faculty of Law, Leiden University, with the research topic "Indonesian Refugee Law: Legal Formation and Immigration Discretion." His writings have been published in various prestigious national and international journals, such as Diaspora Studies (Taylor & Francis), Border Crossing (Transnational Press London), Indonesia Law Review (FH UI), and Padjadjaran Jurnal Ilmu Hukum (FH Unpad).
