Water is an essential resource for humanity, yet the amount of water that can be used by humans is very limited—only about 2.5% of the total water available on Earth. Therefore, the management and regulation of water resource use must be optimized to ensure that the rights and needs of all citizens are met.
This public lecture will discuss a comparative analysis of water resource management and regulation in China, Pakistan, and India, using the approaches of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Adaptive Governance in water resource governance.
