The Undergraduate Program in Law held an Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum workshop

Bandung, February 11, 2025 – In an effort to optimally implement the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum, the Undergraduate Program in Law is holding a Workshop on the OBE Curriculum and Learning Plan. This event will be held over two days, Monday–Tuesday, February 10–11, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Jl. Dr. Djunjunan No. 96, Pasteur, Bandung.

This workshop aims to align the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) with the Learning Outcomes (CPL) established by the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Law. The Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty of Law, Unpad, ensures the achievement of competencies needed in the workplace and society. This activity is part of the Faculty of Law's commitment to improving the quality of legal education in line with current demands.

University curriculum expert, Dr. Ir. Syamsul Arifin, M.T., who also attended the event, explained that there are currently several paradigm shifts in the higher education curriculum. "One important change is the emphasis on learning outcomes as the starting point for curriculum design, no longer solely on content. This is part of the implementation of new policies in higher education, including Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023," he said.

Furthermore, Dr. Syamsul Arifin emphasized that the OBE curriculum is designed so that university graduates not only excel academically but also are relevant to job market needs, globally competitive, and possess integrity and social responsibility.

This activity is expected to be a concrete step towards improving the quality of learning, encouraging a more adaptive educational process and being responsive to changing times. The Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty of Law, Unpad, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the OBE curriculum.
