Jakarta, May 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Padjadjaran (FH Unpad) conducted an official visit to the Office of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemnaker RI) on Wednesday (20/5/2026). This meeting serves as an initial step to explore strategic cooperation between the higher education institution of law and the national labor regulatory authority.
The delegation from FH Unpad was led directly by the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Research, Imam Mulyana, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., alongside the faculty's leadership lineup. The delegation was warmly received by the Minister of Manpower RI, Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., who was accompanied by the executive officials within the Ministry of Manpower RI.
The meeting is intended as a platform for institutional communication and networking that is both strategic and sustainable. Through this momentum, both parties actively identified and explored concrete collaboration opportunities in academics, labor law research, and human resource (HR) competency development programs.
Furthermore, this synergy is built to foster productive collaboration between academics and policy makers. This step is deemed essential for the development of labor law in Indonesia, ensuring it becomes increasingly relevant, adaptive, and responsive to the dynamics of the modern industrial climate. As a follow-up, this meeting marks the initial phase in drafting a formal cooperation program to be concretely signed by both institutions in the future.
This initiative is also part of the efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education and SDG 17 on partnerships for the goals.
