Master's Program in Notarian Law

General Overview

The Master of Notary Program at the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University (FH Unpad) is a study program specifically designed to produce competent and professional graduates in the field of Notaries/Land Deed Officials (PPAT). The degree for this program is Magister Kenotariatan (M.Kn.).

The strength of the Master of Notary Program at FH Unpad is its learning method, which combines theory and practice, with instructors from both academics and practitioners. The learning process is also complemented by laboratories for practical work in notary affairs and notary office management.

Using the 2024 curriculum, the study period can be completed in 1.5 years. Furthermore, to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Master of Notary Program has collaborated with professional organizations, alumni associations, and various agencies/institutions/ministries.

Vision

The Master of Notary Program, Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, is to become a research-based, superior, and competitive Master of Notary Program.

Mission

  1. Providing quality notarial education to produce superior and competitive graduates who possess notarial legal competence and uphold academic and professional ethics.
  2. Organizing educational management by applying the principles of credible, transparent, accountable, responsible, and equitable quality assurance.
  3. Developing and conducting research oriented towards the development of notarial law within the framework of national legal development.
  4. Developing and conducting Community Service (PPM) in the field of notarial law in accordance with developments and community needs.
  5. Establishing ongoing collaboration with alumni, graduate users, and related professional organizations (stakeholders) based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit in the implementation of scientific activities, education, improvement of facilities and infrastructure, and review of the vision, mission, and curriculum.

Learning Outcomes

The Learning Outcomes (LO) for graduates of the Master of Notary Program, Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, are Master of Notary who are able to create and draft authentic deeds and apply research findings to resolve legal problems/cases in the notary field in accordance with regulations and professional ethics, as illustrated below:

LO 1 Demonstrate honesty, discipline, trustworthiness, and professionalism (A5)
LO 2 Examine concepts, principles, and theories to solve legal problems, particularly in the field of notarial law, at the national, regional, and international levels. (C4)
LO 3 Able to think and analyze (P4, C4) systematically, logically, critically, and innovatively, and able to implement (C6) science and technology in the notary field in accordance with contemporary developments
LO 4 Able to construct legal facts and events based on data and information in creating authentic deeds (C6);
LO 5 Able to create (C6) authentic deeds in accordance with existing theoretical knowledge, laws and regulations, and Comply with the job regulations and code of ethics for Notaries/PPAT (A1);
LO 6 Able to compile written scientific studies and descriptions based on research results (C6);
LO 7 Able to systematically communicate (P4) ideas, arguments, and solutions to notarial law problems;
LO 8 Able to work independently or in groups with quality and measurable skills in solving problems as a lifelong learner (P4).
