Dr. Diajeng Wulan Christianti S.H., LL.M.
Head of Center for Human Rights Association Studies

The Human Rights Association (PAHAM) is a special forum for the academic community under the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University (Unpad) to study, disseminate, and advocate for human rights. When PAHAM was founded on July 3, 1998, the human rights situation in Indonesia required serious attention from all levels of society, particularly from universities, to realize the desired society in accordance with Pancasila and the principles of the 1945 Constitution, while simultaneously fulfilling the international obligations stipulated in the human rights conventions that bind Indonesia. PAHAM also strives to ensure that the improvement of human rights education in Indonesia is in accordance with the principles of the rule of law, the nation's cultural values, and international human rights norms. This requires a deep understanding and dissemination to all levels of society in order to realize a democratic society based on the rule of law.
