Master's Program

General Overview

The Master of Laws Program at the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, produces competent graduates in the legal field. This program is designed to equip students with legal knowledge, professional conduct, and ethical standards in the legal profession.

The 2024 curriculum for this program aligns with Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 53 of 2023 concerning Quality Assurance in Higher Education (Permendikbud No. 53 of 2023). This curriculum is designed for a study period of 1.5 (one point five) years or 3 (three) semesters, with a total of 54 (fifty-four) credits (2024 curriculum).

The degree for this program is Master of Laws (M.H.).

Graduate Learning Outcomes

  1. Able to improve and develop logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking through scientific research, which takes into account and applies humanities values ​​in accordance with their field of expertise, compile scientific concepts and study results based on scientific principles, procedures, and ethics in the form of a thesis, and upload it to the university website and papers that have been published in accredited scientific journals or international journals.
  2. Able to evaluate regulations in the legal field and be able to make decisions in the context of providing advice in resolving legal problems that occur in society, both verbally and in writing, based on analytical or experimental studies of information and data.
  3. Able to communicate, work in teams, and be tolerant and open with colleagues, the community, or stakeholders in resolving legal problems.
  4. Able to design, manage, and lead the development and maintenance of networks with colleagues, peers in institutions and the wider research community, both nationally and internationally.
  1. Able to identify, analyze, and connect various legal problems in society based on Legal Philosophy, Legal Theory, and Comparative Law.
  2. Able to evaluate and formulate solutions to legal problems in society critically, logically, rationally, and argumentatively based on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives that contribute to community development.
  3. Able to become a skilled legal professional by combining cultural nobility and modern progress through the use of technology and information.

  4. Plan innovative ideas for the development of legal science and provide development suggestions that are beneficial to society.

The curriculum for the Master of Laws Study Program is designed as follows:

  1. Matriculation: 0 credits
  2. Compulsory Courses: 14 credits
  3. Cluster Elective Courses: 20 credits
  4. Pre-Research Proposal Seminar: 1 credit
  5. Research Proposal Seminar: 3 credits
  6. Research Progress Review: 4 credits
  7. Research Results Publication: 4 credits
  8. Thesis: 8 credits
